Anne Arundel County Solar Forum

Voice your support for solar:

Your voice matters now more than ever! Anne Arundel County government will hold a public forum Wednesday, May 23rd where you can ask the county’s Agritourism Commission to allow community solar projects that are currently blocked by a countywide moratorium. Pro-solar voices like yours are needed to speak at the forum in support of community solar - or these clean energy projects may never be built.

Speaking at the forum is simple. Tell county representatives:

  1. County residents want to save money on their electric bills by signing up for locally produced renewable energy.

  2. County residents deserve clean air and water. These solar projects will prevent more than 300,000 tons of air pollution from entering our air and water.

  3. Solar gives county farmers sorely-needed revenue when they host these projects.

  4. Solar is not an industrial use - in fact it can be done in harmony with active farming.

  5. County government should immediately approve community solar projects. Any further delay means these critical projects may never be built in Anne Arundel County.
